April 29, 2017. Gaithersburg, MD. PCC Construction Components, established in 1992, celebrates 25 years as a locally owned business in the Washington Metropolitan area this month. Throughout these 25 years, PCC continued a strong commitment to clients, employees and partnerships.
The company was established in 1992 under the name Press Construction Company. At that time, the business was primarily a pre-engineered building business. During those first years, the business erected steel buildings, primarily warehouses, shopping centers, and gyms, throughout the DC Metro area. It was an extremely competitive industry at the time. During this time, the company enjoyed the advantage of being the only distributor of H.H. Robertson Company products, a metal panel industry leader. In 1995 the company found new business opportunities when H.H. Robertson merged with a competitor and formed a new company called Centria.
By the late 1990s, the glass business was growing and thriving. At this time, PCC Construction seized the opportunity and moved into that side of the industry. The company acquired key contracts in the area and eventually expanded into the glass glazing business. This was the beginning of the services PCC Construction now provides – glass and architectural wall systems for a variety of industries.
The company philosophy is based on a strong commitment to customers and employees. This commitment to the people served has continued to result in sustainable work and a positive culture. Knowledgeable experts are a trademark of the success of PCC Construction. According to Press, that knowledge and culture is key to the company’s success.
“We consistently worked with the best – experts who know the industry and understand the challenges inherent in what we do. The result for PPC Construction has always been the enjoyment of taking the architect’s design and construct something that is both beautiful and functional. We consistently deliver on the projects we work.”
