Celebrating 25 Years of Excellence
As PCC Construction Components celebrates 25 years as a locally owned business in the Washington Metropolitan area, we’re taking a look back at where we started, how we’ve evolved over the years, and our continued commitment to both our clients and our employees. And, of course, we’d like to thank you, our valued customers, for your business and partnership during this time. Here’s to another 25 years – and beyond!

How it all started. The company was established in 1992. At that time, the business was primarily a pre-engineered building and metal panel business. During those first years, the business erected steel buildings, primarily warehouses, shopping centers, and gyms, throughout the DC Metro area. It was an extremely competitive industry at the time. During this time, the company enjoyed the advantage of being the only local distributor of H.H. Robertson Company products, a metal panel industry leader. In the late 90’s, PCC found new business opportunities when H.H. Robertson merged with a competitor and formed a new company called Centria.

By the late 1990s, the glass business was growing and thriving. At this time, PCC Construction seized the opportunity and moved into that side of the industry. The company acquired key contracts in the area and eventually expanded into the glazing business. This was the beginning of the services PCC Construction now provides – contract glazing and architectural wall systems for a variety of project types.

Our Legacy of Success. Our industry is full of challenges and changes. No project is the same and every client has different needs. But the one consistency in our business is the strong commitment to both our clients and employees. We’ve grown substantially over the years, through economic downturns, and company restructuring, but have never lost sight of the small company values that got us started.

Our company culture is a positive, friendly, customer-oriented environment where employees are encouraged to be leaders, take responsibility, thrive and want to stay. Through this culture, we’ve built a knowledgeable, consistent group of young professionals who understand the industry, its changes, and its challenges. For each project, our goal is to build a strong team that works effectively with other contractors and gets the best results and finished product.

As a result, clients want (and enjoy!) working with us because they know they’ll work with people who can take the architect’s design and construct something both beautiful and functional. And they can count on the fact that we FINISH. We look forward to working with you on your next project!
